Public Welcomed to Cummings Veterinary School September 6 Open House
North Grafton, MA, September 3, 2008
Whether you’re a fan of things that bark, meow, cluck, moo, or slither, you are welcomed to attend the 24th annual open house at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University from 11am to 3pm, on Saturday, September 6. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the marvels of modern veterinary medicine, as well as see various types of animals in action. Admission and parking are free, and refreshments will be available for purchase. The event will be held rain or shine.
Canines of all types will demonstrate their prowess in working dog demonstrations. The animals of the Cummings School’s working farm will also be available to meet and greet visitors, and kids of all ages are welcomed to bring their beloved but bedraggled stuffed animals to be stitched or bandaged at the Teddy Bear Clinic.
In addition, self-guided tours of the school’s Henry and Lois Foster Hospital for Small Animals, Hospital for Large Animals, and campus farm will show visitors how Tufts’ Cummings Veterinary School teaches students and cares for more than 28,000 animals per year.
Convenient parking is available at the North Grafton MBTA station, with free shuttle buses to and from Tufts’ campus. Handicapped parking is available on-campus.
For safety reasons, pets will not be allowed on campus for Open House.
