The Ophthalmology Service at Cummings Veterinary Medical Center is excited to participate in this year’s ACVO/StokesRx National Service Animal Eye Exam event on. This event, now in its 11th year, recognizes the essential role service animals play in the lives of so many humans. During the event, qualified service animals can receive a free ocular screening examination performed by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist. Registration takes place during the month of April and examinations will be conducted on May 5 and May 22, 2018. Here’s how to participate:
- Visit https://www.acvoeyeexam.org/qualifications-expectations to see if your service animal qualifies.
- After April 1, go to https://www.acvoeyeexam.org/ to register your service animal.
- Once you have received your confirmation email, call our liaison, Kellye Riani, at (508) 887-4839 to schedule your appointment. Appointment slots fill quickly, so be sure to call early. To schedule your appointment, you must provide the confirmation number provided in the confirmation email.
- Bring your service animal’s paperwork with you to the exam.
